Attending the Mass Save Breakfast: Networking with HPIN

Apr 28th 2025

MASS SAVE Breakfast

Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the Mass Save Breakfast, an important event that brought together HVAC manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and key industry players across Massachusetts. Hosted by Mass Save, the event served as a powerful platform for collaboration, education, and growth within the state’s rapidly expanding energy-efficiency market.

Why Mass Save Matters

Massachusetts has been leading the nation in energy efficiency initiatives, and programs like Mass Save are a key part of that success. Their goal is clear: reduce energy consumption and help homeowners and businesses transition to cleaner, more efficient technologies—especially in HVAC. Heat pumps, in particular, are at the forefront of these efforts, and that’s where the Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN) becomes essential.

The breakfast was more than just a networking event, it was an opportunity to align with the state's mission, learn about upcoming changes to incentive programs, and position ourselves better within the Massachusetts market.

Connecting with the HPIN Community

The HPIN team outlined several important updates, including:

  • Streamlined rebate processes for residential and commercial heat pump installations;

  • Expanded training and certification opportunities for installers;

  • New marketing tools available to Mass Save partners;

  • Insights into Massachusetts' future energy goals for 2025 and beyond.

Being able to connect directly with HPIN leaders allowed for deeper conversations about how manufacturers, distributors, and contractors can work together to accelerate heat pump adoption — and where support is most needed.

The event was a great reminder that we are not just part of the supply chain, we are critical allies in helping end customers find the right solutions. As distributors, we are committed to staying ahead of key trends, including:

  • Strong interest in stocking and promoting cold-climate heat pumps;

  • Growing need for better contractor education and support materials;

  • A growing demand for DIY-friendly and easy-to-install systems.

Looking Ahead

The Mass Save Breakfast reaffirmed that collaboration is key to success in today’s HVAC industry. As energy regulations evolve and customers seek more efficient options, events like this ensure we stay informed, build stronger networks, and continue to innovate.

We’re excited about the new connections made at the breakfast and look forward to deeper partnerships with the Mass Save program and HPIN across the region.
